Overview:

If you grew up listening to calls to the altar, singing that raises the hair on your arms, and messages from the pulpit that changed your life week after week, this event is for you. We’re going back to the place that taught us how to lead, how to sang, and how to survive. Gold Beams, The Black Joy Parade, and OMCA are coming together to give the Black Church its flowers in a major way.

We’re debuting a mini-doc with ABC that chronicles our history, followed by a live, foot-stomping set from the Black Joy Choir. We’re closing the night with a "real talk" session featuring the community who have been our North Stars behind the scenes. It’s an archive of where we’ve been and a celebration of where we’re going.
